1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Say Art Studio (“we”) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data, in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). We act as the data fiduciary for data collected on sayartstudio.in.

2. Data We Collect

  • Identity and contact: name, mobile number, email address.
  • Delivery and billing addresses.
  • Order data: items, amounts, order history, cancellations, communications.
  • Payment proof: UTR/transaction reference and payment screenshots. We do not receive or store your UPI PIN, or card or bank login details.
  • Consent record: IP address, browser/device details, date-time and the version of the Terms accepted, captured when you register or accept.
  • Account data: encrypted password, login and OTP records.

3. Purposes

  • To create and manage your account and verify you by OTP.
  • To process orders, verify payments, ship and deliver, and provide support.
  • To contact you by call, WhatsApp or email about your orders.
  • To keep records of your consent and transactions, prevent fraud, and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations or defend legal claims.
  • Marketing only with your separate consent.

3A. Optional Promotional Emails and Unsubscribe

We send news, offers and new product updates by email only if you tick the separate optional box at registration or checkout (it is unticked by default) or switch it on in My Account. We keep a record of this consent (date and time, IP address, policy version). Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 you may withdraw this consent at any time, as easily as you gave it: use the one-click unsubscribe link in every promotional email, turn it off in My Account, or email sales@sayartstudio.in. After withdrawal we stop promotional emails promptly; this does not affect earlier processing or order and account emails. We do not share your email address with third parties for their marketing.

4. Sharing

We share your name, delivery address and phone number only with courier partners as needed to deliver your order. We do not sell your data. We may disclose data if required by law or a competent authority. Our hosting and email service providers process data on our behalf for operating the Site.

5. Retention

We keep account and order data while your account is active and as long as needed for the purposes above. Consent records, order and payment records are retained for the period required by law and for establishing, exercising or defending legal claims, for 5 years from the date of the record (or account closure, if later). Other data is deleted or anonymised when no longer needed.

6. Your Rights under the DPDP Act, 2023

You may request: access to a summary of your personal data and how it is processed; correction and updating; erasure; grievance redressal; and nominating another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity. You may withdraw consent at any time, though this will not affect earlier processing and may prevent us from providing services. Deletion requests will be honoured except for data we must retain under law or for legal claims, which will be kept restricted and deleted when the retention period ends. Write to sales@sayartstudio.in; we acknowledge within 48 hours and respond within one month. You may also approach the Data Protection Board of India once it is operational and you have first used our grievance process.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in, maintain your cart and secure the Site, and may use limited analytics cookies to understand usage. You can block cookies in your browser, but parts of the Site may stop working.

8. Security

We use reasonable safeguards such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords and restricted staff access. No system is completely secure; please protect your login details. In case of a personal data breach we will notify affected persons and authorities as required by law.

9. Children

The Site is not intended for persons under 18 without verifiable parent or guardian consent.
